To enhance a student’s education through a full spectrum of musical experiences which foster life-long learning and support academic achievement.

Elementary Music Program
 
In grades 1-2, students experience music through singing, movement, chanting, and playing instruments.  In third grade, students put into practice their understanding of rhythm and movement by learning to play a recorder.
 
 
 
Middle School Music Program
 
The middle school music program extends students' learning by providing a variety of musical offerings such as:
  • Concert Band
  • Drumline
  • Jazz Band
  • Guitar
  • Color Guard
 
High School Music Program
 
To ensure a successful transition between middle and high school, a class for freshmen has been implemented at Central High West.  Students take their classes at the West campus, however they also practice and perform with Central East music students.  Additional offerings through the high school music department include:
  • Concert Band
  • Drumline
  • Jazz Band
  • Marching Band
  • Choir
  • Women's Choir
  • Color Guard
  • Piano
