ABOUT EXECUTIVE SERVICES

  Kelly Porterfield, Assistant Superintendent, CBO

Kelly Porterfield has more than 25 years of experience in public education with the last 10 years as an Assistant Superintendent/Chief Business Officer (CBO).  He has been the Assistant Superintendent of Executive Services/CBO of Central Unified School District since August 2012.  Prior to that, he was the Director of Facilities planning and was promoted to the Associate Superintendent of Business and Operations of Madera Unified School District.

He has developed and implemented strategy and programs related to district-wide technology, energy savings and retrofit, solar energy, master facilities plan, construction cost accounting, budget forecasting and risk management methodology.

Mr. Porterfield received his B.S. in Business Management at the University of Redlands and his Chief Business Officer Certificate from the University of Southern California.

He’s been married to his wife, Melissa, for 27 years, and has one daughter and three sons and two grandchildren.
