LCAP 2016-17 Draft

Central Unified has received input from the community including parents, students and staff, to assist with the development of the LCAP for 2016-2017.  A draft of the English version is available here.  for review.  A Spanish version will be available once the translation is complete. The CUSD Board of Trustees held a public hearing on the plan at their meeting on June 14, 2016.

During the LCAP public hearing, the following question was asked, "How will performing arts facilities be affected?"
Answer: The activities listed in the 2016-2017 LCAP do not directly affect the performing arts facilities. However, in a continuously growing district with class size reduction the need for elementary classrooms increases. This decreases space for visual and performing arts classes, professional development rooms, and specialized services.

The LCAP plan was approved by the Board of Trustees at the June 28, 2016 Board Meeting. It will now be forwarded to Fresno County Office of Ed and California Department of Ed for their approval.

CAHSEE request

Based on the current legislation that was signed into law on October 7, 2015 by Governor Brown, SB172 now mandates that school districts issue diplomas for students who have met all Local Education Agency graduation requirements other than the passage of the CAHSEE starting with the class of 2006.   If you feel you meet these requirements, please contact the registrar at the last school that you attended at CUSD.   Requests will be reviewed by a Central Unified School District counselor.   Please allow up to 4 weeks to process your request.
