Biography
Mike Berg joined Central Unified in December 2004, coming from 21 years with Fresno Unified. His experience spans most aspects of school business operations. He has specialized in school planning, design and facilities management, as well as maintenance, transportation, grounds and plant operations. His experience working with community is enhanced through service as a member of the board and President of the Riverpark Rotary Club, a founding member of the Downtown Community Development Corporation, and the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) as the region Representative to the statewide council for Classified Educational Leaders. Mr. Berg is a third generation Fresnan, a graduate of CSU Fresno, a father of two daughters, Kristen and Jaclyn, and a husband to Cheri, a first grade teacher in Fresno. He enjoys any kind of outdoor activity, but is particularly fanatical about bicycling. Mike is enjoying the challenges of a growing district, and is looking forward to creating systems and providing leadership to assist Central to become the standard by which others will be judged.
