Biography
Rae Swiger completed her undergraduate work in Colorado and received a Bachelor’s Degree in English education with a minor in Italian. She holds teaching certificates in the states of Colorado, Virginia, Washington and California. She has taught on the elementary school, middle school and college levels. Rae earned a Master’s Degree in Washington. She holds credentials in Library Science, School and Program Administration, and Reading Education. Mrs. Swiger states, “I have always worked in the field of education, and have left the library three times in my career: once to become a Reading Specialist, once again to supervise student teachers, and finally to serve as an elementary school vice principal. Each time I returned to the library because it is the place where I can focus upon my passion in life which is to bring good literature and children together.”
