Dr. Tami Boatright serves Central Unified students, staff, and community in her role as Director, K-8. Having spent more than 24 years as an educator in Central Unified, Tami has developed strong relationships with staff, students, and the community. Her career began as a reading intervention teacher and she continued for the next 15 years as a classroom teacher in the district, followed by a position as a Resource and Federal Programs Resource teacher. In 2006, Tami transitioned into administration as the Vice Principal at River Bluff. The next five years were spent at the district office as the Research, Evaluation, and Assessment Supervisor. In 2012, she served as the Principal of Steinbeck while pursuing her doctorate. In December 2014, Tami earned her EdD in Organizational Leadership. Although the pinnacle of her formal education has been reached, she considers herself a lifelong learner and in constant pursuit of new knowledge to contribute to this organization while supporting staff and students. On a personal note, Tami and her husband recently celebrated their 26th anniversary. They are immensely proud of their two sons, both of whom attended Central Unified schools.
