The California State Preschool Program (CSPP) is a free program offered to families who meet the eligibility requirements listed below.

Placement into a preschool class is determined by the Priority Placement Guidelines, not by first-come, first-served

Child Eligibility

The Child Must

Turn 3 years old between December 2, 2025 - December 1, 2026
- Birthdate from December 2, 2022 - December 1, 2023
Turn 4 years old between December 2, 2025 - December 1, 2026
- Birthdate from December 2, 2021 - December 1, 2022
Have a negative TB skin test reading given on or after August 12, 2025, and be current with all required immunizations
Have a current physical examination report after their last birth date

Family Eligibility

The Family Must

Be the responsible person in providing care and welfare for the preschooler
Provide your own transportation to and from school - No Bus is available
Provide all required documents
Qualify by income & family size

Income qualification

Family income must be at or below the state guidelines as listed below

STATE PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT APPLICATION PROCESS

There are TWO STEPS to submit your application for State Preschool

All required documents must be submitted in either pdf or jpg format in order to process your application

APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTS REVIEW

All required documents listed in both STEPS 1 & 2 MUST be submitted with the application per California State Preschool Requirements. If you are missing documents, you will be notified of the documents needed, and your application will be placed on hold until we receive all the remaining paperwork.

Enrolling Child's Documentations

Gather the following documents and submit your New Student Enrollment Interest Application by clicking on the link provided below.

When completing the Step 1 Aeries Online Enrollment, the following must be selected to ensure your child's application is submitted for the correct school year.

Please return to this web page after completing STEP 1 to complete and submit the STEP 2 documents listed below. All required documents for both steps MUST be submitted to complete the registration process.

Proof of Age

PROOF OF AGE ELIGIBILITY - Provide proof of the child's birth record.

Acceptable Proof of Birth Records
Birth Certificate	Hospital Print Out	School or Medical Records
Child Custody Court Order	Adoption Documents	County Welfare Department Records
Foster Care Placement Records	Other reliable documentation indicating the relationship of the child to the parent

Proof of Immunization

Proof of Residence

PROOF OF RESIDENCE - The document MUST be current and in one of the parent's names. See below for acceptable proof of residence documents.

Utility Bill (i.e. PG & E, City of Fresno)
Cable Bill
Phone Bill
Employment Pay Stub
Lease Agreement with a current month's receipt
Mortgage Statement
Property Tax Statement
Other reliable documentation for a service of the home

If your family is living with someone:

Submit a copy of the homeowner's proof of residence in STEP 1 and have the homeowner complete and sign the Declaration of Residency Under Penalty of Perjury to be submitted in STEP 2.

If your family currently does not have a permanent residence:

Complete and sign the Self-Identification of Homelessness form in STEP 2 only. Proof of residence will not be required.

Additional Residence Information

PROOF OF RESIDENCE - Part 2 - If the Proof of Residence provided in Step 1 is in the name of the person your family is living with, then you must submit a completed Declaration of Residency Under Penalty of Perjury form signed by the homeowner.

Government Program Benefits Documentation

FAMILIES RECEIVING GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM BENEFITS - If your immediate family is receiving governmental program benefits, such as Cash Aid, CalFresh (SNAP), Medi-Cal, WIC, etc., please submit the following documents.

A completed and signed Categorical Eligibility for Families Receiving Governmental Program Benefits form listed below, OR a copy of the income documentation declared on the application for the government program.
Documentation showing proof of current eligibility dated within the preceding month.

No additional Proof of Income Documentation is needed.

Proof of Income Documentation

PROOF OF INCOME - Is required for all families not receiving governmental benefits; documentation of your family's sources of income must be provided by each parent who is responsible for the care and welfare needs of the family.

Child's Health Information

PROOF OF PHYSICAL - A current physical examination report after the child's last birth date must be provided. If you do not have a copy from the doctor, please have your child's doctor complete, sign and date the Physician's Report.

Please note, a current physical report must be provided on a yearly basis to continue enrollment.
