Central Unified School District recognizes the important role visual and performing arts play in providing our students a well-rounded education. The arts - dance, music, theater, and visual arts - are a critical part of every child's education. Research has shown that arts education not only enhances student achievement, but also improves emotional intelligence necessary in life: self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation, and internal motivation. It is no surprise that education in the visual and performing arts is recognized as a key component in developing 21st century job skills, and Central promotes this at every grade level!
