ParentSquare - New Communication Platform

Central Unified is excited to utilize ParentSquare as our primary communication platform for the entire district! 

ParentSquare is the primary communication tool to share important, urgent, and vital information with our parents, teachers, students, and staff.  It offers a multitude of tools that allows our district, school administrators, and teachers to more effectively communicate with families and students. Some of the features include: 

  • Mass notifications and urgent alerts with two-way communication
  • Mobile apps for administrators and parents
  • Attendance notifications
  • Teacher and classroom notification
  • Direct messaging and chat with two-way translation
  • Forms and permission slips
  • Calendar and RSVP
  • And a whole lot more! 

When parents download the app or go to www.parentsquare.com to create an account, they can become more actively involved in communication by appreciating posts, viewing photos, leaving comments and managing their communication preferences. Parents will also be able to view posts that are addressed to the school and any groups or classes that they or their child belongs to. Parents do not see posts for classes or groups that they don’t belong to. Those who decide not to sign up will still receive crucial texts, emails, and phone notifications. 

 
TROUBLESHOOTING
HELP! I tried to log into ParentSquare using my email or cell phone on file with the school but it won't allow me to. What do I need to do??
 
 
Follow these steps below to get to the CONTACTS page to update your cell phone, email and notification preferences to General & Emergency Announcements. Make sure you have the SAME CONTACT INFORMATION on ALL CONTACTS PAGES for ALL OF YOUR STUDENTS.  
 
NOTE: If parents haven't yet completed data confirmation, you will NOT be able to navigate to the contacts screen directly until AFTER data confirmation has been completed!
 
After you correct the CONTACTS page in Parent Portal, it will take 24 hours for the information to sync with ParentSquare.
 
If you don't know your student's ID#, please call the Student Information System Office at 559-274-4700 x63212. They will have to ask you specific questions before they can mail you the student ID number which is private information.

If you have gone through the videos and updated your contact information in Parent Portal, but are still experiencing problems, please email info@centralusd.k12.ca.us.
 
Include your children's names, school, ages, and the parent(s) names, cell phone numbers, and email addresses.
