Central Unified Athletics Launches Aquatics Summer Recreation Camps!

The Central Unified School District Athletics Department is excited to announce the launch of our new Aquatics Summer Recreation Camps!

This summer, we are expanding our current offerings at Central East High School by introducing a variety of aquatic activities for different age groups and skill levels — now also available at Justin Garza High School.

Our goal is to provide accessible, structured, and safe aquatic opportunities that promote physical fitness, skill development, community engagement, and most importantly, growth in our district’s athletic aquatics programs.

We are proud to offer the following camps:

  • Splash Ball

  • Swimming

  • Water Polo

  • Diving

Experience Requirements:

  • Recreational Swim Team: Participants must demonstrate the ability to swim two laps (50 yards) unassisted in an 8-foot pool.

  • Splash Ball: Participants should be comfortable standing and swimming unassisted in shallow or deep water.

  • Dive: Participants must be able to jump into deep water, submerge, swim to the surface, and reach the pool’s edge independently.

  • Water Polo: Participants must be able to swim 50 yards without stopping and demonstrate treading ability.
